Hi Girls.
Short Story time!
This may not be big news for other DLV participants but Kate had a new
experience at DLV this year and it might have been a lesser light in the
large scheme of things if I hadn't been feeling absolutely terrific and
very confident while out on the town with the greatest group people to
do Vegas with.
I was standing on the top steps at the main entrance of Caesars taking
in all the ambience of our Limo Tour stop when from behind me 3 teenaged
30 year old guys made some rather mean comments in the form of macho
statements, obviously to protect themselves from their quite obviously
foreign surroundings. Well to my surprise I wasn't offended in the least
which is absolutely out of character for Kate, Being more than a little
self contious about her appearance etc'
Then out of the blue one of the "big 3" came up and appologized for
their off colour remarks and I said "that's ok don't worry too much
about it"! He seemed to want to talk at that moment and asked me what
we were all doing there so I told him a little about us and he went away
a better person for it I think!
This would normally have bothered me quite a bit but
every trip I do to DLV is a giant Leap for Kate Kind
and this one was no exception.
