To DLV 2004 Activities

We suggest that you print out this page and the map shown below and take the print-outs with you. DLV 2004 will be as paperless as possible. We will not be handing out any maps, directions, schedules, etc.
The map below shows locations for most of the DLV 2004 activities.

The image on the left is "landscape" mode, viewable on line, and the image on the right is "portrait" mode, printable on one sheet of standard 8.5x11" paper.

Shown below are photos of some of the venues used for DLV 2004 activities with notes about parking and which activities will occur in which venues.

They appear in the approximate chronological order of the first activity in the facility or in the area.

Metropolitan Community Church ([1] on map)

Sunday morning services will be at Metropolitan Community Church on Almond Tree Lane. See map above and directions. Parking is available directly in front of the building.

Freezone ([7] on map)

Tramps of Las Vegas ([10] on map)

All of these are located at or near the intersection of Paradise and Naples in what is known as the "Triangle District", just north of Tropicana Avenue.

Freezone [7] is on the north side of Naples between Paradise and Swenson. Our Sunday evening Happy Hour will be held at Freezone. If you will be going to Freezone, park in the lot directly to the west of the Freezone building. Do not park in the Freezone lot and conspicuously walk to other businesses in the area. Tow-aways are not uncommon.

Milano's Pizza and Pasta [10] is located in a strip mall just to the southeast of the intersection of Paradise and Naples. Our Sunday Pre-DLV Dinner will be at Milano's. If you will be going directly to Milano's, park in the lot in front of the building. Avoid spaces marked as reserved.

Tramps is one door east of Milano's, in the southeast corner of the strip mall. The Michael Cagle Show will be held at Tramps. Park in the lot in front of the building. Valet parking is sometimes available at Tramps, but not always.

Do not park in this lot and conspicuously walk to businesses that are not part of that strip mall.

Gipsy [9] is located on the west side of the intersection of Paradise and Naples. Friday's Dance Night will begin at Gipsy. Valet parking is available and suggested. Do not park in other lots in the area and conspicuously walk to Gipsy.

The left image above is a detail map of a portion of the Triangle District, showing the relative positions of the various venues. The right image shows the "Get Booked" bookstore, which is an easy to recognize landmark for the area and is just a few doors west of Milano's.
Spotlight Lounge ([3] on map)

Spotlight Lounge [3] is on the south side of Sahara Avenue at the main entrance to Commercial Center (business park). Our Sunday Pre-DLV Get-together will be held at the Spotlight. Park on the street or in the Commercial Center lots.
Sahara Hotel and Casino ([4] on map)

The Sahara Hotel/Casino complex is on the southeast corner of the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard (Strip) and Sahara Avenue. It is one of the best-known properties in the Las Vegas area.

Our daily Lunch With (or without) Ginger will be held in the Sahara Buffet Monday thru Friday.

The Hidden Woman Open House will be held in the Alexandria Tower on Wednesday.

Both self parking and valet parking are available at both the Strip entrance and the Paradise Road entrance.

The escalator to the buffet (Lunch With(out) Ginger, weekdays) is marked with B and the elevator to the Alexandria Tower (Hidden Woman Open House) is marked with H.

San Remo Hotel ([12] on map)

The San Remo Hotel [12] is on the south side of Tropicana Avenue just east of Las Vegas Boulevard (Strip).

The parking lot just to the east of the main San Remo building (shown in the right image just to the left of the flat portion of the building) will be used as an assembly point for the following DLV activities:

  1. Side trip to Rhyolite, Monday.
  2. Lake Mead boat trip, Tuesday.
  3. Thrift Shop Tour, Tuesday.
  4. Night Of The Soiled Doves side trip, Tuesday.
  5. Art Tour, Wednesday.
  6. Shopping Expedition, Thursday.
  7. Claude Hall Gun Show, Saturday.
Hamburger Mary's ([8] on map)

Hamburger Mary's [8] is on the south side of Harmon Avenue just west of Paradise Road. HM's is directly south across Harmon from the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino. We will have our Monday evening Happy Hour and Dinner at Hamburger Mary's. Park in the lot to the east of the building.
Flex Lounge ([5] on map)

Flex Lounge [5] is on the southeast corner of the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Arville St. Flex will host our Welcome Celebration on Monday. Park on the street or in the large lot to the south of the building.
Las Vegas Lounge ([16] on map)

The Las Vegas Lounge [16] is on the north side of Karen Avenue, just west of Maryland Parkway, to the rear of Commercial Center.

Our Tuesday evening Happy Hour (for those not going on the Night Of The Soiled Doves side trip) and our Tuesday Night Of The Soiled Doves celebration will be at the Las Vegas Lounge.

You may park either in front of the building or in the Commercial Center parking lots. Be sure that you do not leave exposed valuables in your vehicle.

Hard Rock CAFE ([6] on map)

The Hard Rock CAFE is on the northwest corner of the intersection of Paradise and Harmon. The large "LP" guitar sign is one of the most-recognized landmarks in the Las Vegas area. Our Wednesday Happy Hour and Dinner will be at the Hard Rock CAFE.

Please note that you want the Hard Rock CAFE building shown in the foreground of the above picture, the one right at the intersection, and not the Hard Rock CASINO, which is the larger building in the background.

Goodtimes Lounge ([11] on map) and
Carluccio's Tivoli Gardens

Goodtimes and Carluccio's are located in a strip mall on the southwest corner of the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Spencer St. Goodtimes (left photo above) faces east and is at the northmost end of the complex, directly opposite the Liberace Museum. Carluccio's (right 2 photos above) is at the south end of the complex facing north.

We will attend Karaoke at Goodtimes on Wednesday night.

Our Friday evening Happy Hour and Dinner will be at Carluccio's, followed by the Annual Mixer at Goodtimes. If you are the first person to show Annie a hardcopy of this page during our Annual Mixer, you will be entitled to a liquid refreshment of your choice.

Plenty of parking is available in the complex.

Crown And Anchor Pub ([21] on map)

Thursday's SO Luncheon will be at the Crown And Anchor. C&A is just east of the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Maryland Parkway.

SO's only at this activity, please.

Glamour Boutique ([2] on map)

Glamour Boutique is located on the west side of a side street (also marked Sahara Ave) which leads north from Sahara Avenue just east of 6th. Street. Access is very easy coming west on Sahara, tricky when coming east. See driving directions. The Glamour Boutique Open House will be held on Thursday afternoon. Park in NON-RESERVED spaces in the front of the building or in the lot to the north of the building. Glamour Boutique is one floor up.
Aladdin / Desert Passage ([18] on map)

The Aladdin [18] is on the east side of Las Vegas Boulevard (Strip) just north of the intersection of Harmon Avenue. The Ovation Theater, shown in the right two photos above, is in the very northeast corner of the Aladdin / Desert Passage complex. It is suggested to use the valet or self parking in the rear of the property as it is a much shorter walk to the Ovation Theater.

The Limo Tour will depart from the main (Strip side) Aladdin entrance 20 minutes after the conclusion of Ovation.

Bellagio ([17] on map)

The Bellagio [17] is on the southwest corner of the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard (Strip) and Flamingo Road. Follow signs to valet or self parking.

The "Charles Bar" is in the main casino to the east of the buffet. It is marked with the arrow and the dot on the property map above.

Bad Attitude Boutique ([19] on map)

The Bad Attitude Boutique [19] is in a strip mall on the south side of Sahara Avenue a few blocks west of Valley View Blvd.

The Friday afternoon corset workshop will be at the Bad Attitude Boutique. Parking is available in the lot in the front of the building.
