Well ... how do I put this ...
First of all, incidents have been few and far between with DLV.
Unfortunately when they happen they really ruin a vacation, and in many
cases the person whose vacation was ruined had nothing to do with what
brought on the incident.
Anyway, to make a long story long ... :)
Following our Annual Mixer on Friday last year, a group of our people
wandered off to Treasure Island. One report was that some of them were
dressed "on the edge", meaning their outfits were bound to draw
attention. I don't know if this was indeed the case. I don't remember
how they were dressed.
Anyway, some of them apparently befriended one or more curious GG's, and
they and said GG(s) went off to the casino ladies room to play makeup.
This apparently resulted in a complaint or complaints to TI security.
A TI security guard, having received the report, happened to come upon
another one of our people, one who was not involved in the Mary Kay
session in the powder room. A confrontation and a not so nice ending
to what could have been a very nice vacation followed.
This was the second incident in DLV's history resulting from using a
public ladies room to play makeover. {slap} Don't do that!
Speaking very freely, almost every incident I can think of, from the
beginning of DLV, has been caused by somebody, one of our people,
failing to use common sense or intentionally pushing the limits. Yes,
there was one in 2001 where I really don't think any of our people
did anything out of line.
Bottom line: Have fun at DLV! Have a LOT of fun! But please use common
sense and don't have fun at somebody else's expense.
