Oh yes, the first time is scary. I did my first karaoke at a straight
bar, actually. Tony and I were playing shuffleboard and we met a couple
who joined us. The woman got me to agree to do Roberta Flack's "Killing
Me Softly" as a duet, but after the first few verses, I realized that I
was the only one singing. My voice sounded a lot better than I had
expected it to, and it was fun.
I can still do that song and a few others by female vocalists, but I
think that I am a comedian at heart. I do the silly songs because they
entertain and make people laugh.
The song that you're thinking of is "Uneasy Rider". I've liked it since
it first came out.
