I would like to stop this one before it spreads.
Let's put it this way, next spring sometime, there will be another
vacation-not-a-convention, known as Diva Las Vegas, with no registration
fee, no rubber chicken banquet, no pageant, etc.
Those who want more of a formalized thing, with paid registration and
more c-word activities are of course quite free to start something like
that.
While I don't envision any sweeping changes for DLV 2003, I do forsee
more of an emphasis toward DLV's roots, that being an opportunity to
celebrate life and enjoy each other's company -- more emphasis on
recreational and participatory activities, and less emphasis on dressing
for the sake of dressing. I would use Tina's "rolling party" analogy but
I can't remember the exact words. :)
Bottom line ... DLV the vacation we know and love ain't going away! :)
