Hi,

The week in review
------------------

Monday, April 21:
10:00am Side trip, A-le-Inn and Area 51 (Area 51)

Good trip. Seems like we had some difficulties about the South Parking Lot
although we all found each other. The trip was longer than I expected but it
was interesting. Iıll probably remember the cold wind more than anything
else but thatıs travel for you!

Tuesday, April 22:
5:00pm Happy Hour (Hamburger Mary's)

Most people seemed "happy". Bar staff were friendly.

Weird thing was seeing the people, paper and badges on the pool table. It
looked like a military operation with people looking down at a map plotting
their next action with the enemy. The command post moved from location to
location and always seemed to find a good pool table to get the operations
laid out!

6:00pm Pre-DLV dinner (Hamburger Mary's)

Dinner with Bunny and Annie. Food was hot this year although we had a slight
problem with an overhead A/C outlet.

8:00pm Welcome celebration (Flex)

OK as usual. The show interesting but I faded away and couldnıt stay Œtil
the end.

Wednesday, April 23:
Ev Red Shoe Night (All)

Forgot all about this. Never mind

5:30pm Happy Hour (Sasha's)

Still like Sashaıs as a venbue. Everyone seemed friendly and the bar service
was reasonably prompt.

6:30pm Dinner, possible show (Sasha's)

Michael Cagle was outstanding as usual and the TG show that followed was
worth it as well. While I know that some complained about the food, the
Chicken meal I had, early in the evening, was very nice. Service was very
attentive, with wine, drinks and coffee being refreshed almost instantly.

10:30pm Karaoke (Goodtimes)

Densieıs rendition of EasyRider 88 was kewl. Gina bought the albulm and Iıve
got the original of Easyrider and Easyrider 88 as MP3ıs if anyoneıs
interested.

Thursday, April 24:
9:00am Air tours (Henderson Airport)

Seemed like no-one wanted to go flying this year but really I canıt
understand why. The first flight of DLV had Gina (the pilot) Bunny and I
over the Grand Canyon by 8:30 or so. Apart from one very small bump the
flight was extremely smooth and the views were excellent.

1:00pm Buffet lunch (Bellagio)

I like the Bellagio more and more each year. The buffet was excellent and we
had a good group there this year. We started with eight (I think) and it
grew to about 14 or so by the time we left.

7:30pm Jubilee (Bally's)

Great Seats. Great Show. Nice girls and wouldnıt we all like bodies like
theirs! This was a good activity and Ballyıs seemed to be very non
threatening to the group.

9:00pm Limo Tour (HM, Bally's)

This was OK but I enjoyed it less than last year. There was too much
"organising" and waiting at the start and then there was an issue about when
to give the driver the payment. We missed a few stops and I thought we
really should have "done" the DelMar again. AN activity that had a high drop
out as well.

Friday, April 25:
9:00am Golf (Golf course)

Wow! Did that wind blow. My excuses for poor golf included my tits getting
in the way of my swing (didnıt happen last year, maybe theyıve grown since
then?!), bad, bad hair day, wearing contact lens that continually watered my
eyes (wind, hair) and then the sunglasses from hell, that seemed to make the
ball totally invisible! Other than that it a day on the golf course and as
all golfers know, thatıs usually better than most other things!

We had a complaint about the restroom, apparently one or more people had
been seen standing in the stalls. If this was the case those people need a
lesson in lady like restroom behaviour! If not, then we have an issue with
golf course I think.

6:00pm Dinner (Carluccio's)

Seemed like we started late, took longer than expected. Nevertheless I
enjoyed the food, the Chianti and the company. Carluccios seemed like a
great place. They seemed to look after us well.

7:30pm Annual Mixer (Goodtimes)

The annual mixer, what can you say.

11:00pm Dance Night (Gipsy) (-> House of Blues, Mandalay Bay)

Gina, Mary Beth and I went here and had reasonably great time. Especially
towards the end. Music only for those for the hearing impaired as it normal
hearing will be destroyed.

2:00am Charles Bar (Bellagio)

Gina organised this on the fly and we ended up with 23 or so girls there
according to Charles. What a nice guy! As advertised by Gina he was a great
barkeep, with no glass being unattended for long. Mary Beth was told by one
security person not to use the ladies but no one else seemed to have a
problem.

6:00am Bellagio Café

Gina, Aiko and I had breakfast here at the end of a very long day. Nice
breakfast!

Saturday, April 26:

8:00pm Buffet dinner (San Remo)

Another non threatening food stop for the group. Service was OK

10:30pm Showgirls Of Magic (San Remo)

Great show although a repeat of the same one for those that saw it last
year. Didnıt Tina do well as Tim? I though that Tiny, the Showgirls and the
rest of the cast were great helping us get the picture using the stage et
al. I hope they come out as well.

Sunday, April 27:
For me this was CRASH day.

Summary and Comments

The standard of dressing, makeup and general deportment was the best of any
of the DLVıs Iıve attended. While there was the odd weird combination for an
activity, I generally thought everybody did a great job. The weather this
year was MUCH cooler than last and Iım sure some of us felt the cold Š I
know I did on occasion.

Some of the organization was a bit hairy. I have said that I think the
payment for the Thursday events was closed off too early for the people
arriving Wednesday and Thursday. We need to address that for next year.

I was disappointed with Limo tour compared to the previous year and I think
that whole area needs to be readdressed. One suggestion is to use the 20
seat Humvee? Limoıs. These apparently are $80 /hour and would probably make
more sense. Base the cost on 15 in each and that allows for some last minute
passengers as well. More girls, bigger party time. The stops werenıt well
executed, especially at The Mirage. That was a killer walk for those that
made it!

It seemed to me that we had more time in mainstream locations, bars in
hotels, casinos etc than at places like Goodtimes, Flex etc. This didnıt
really seem to cause too many problems for anyone, did it?

Sounds like we need to get Hard Rock Café in on next years schedule and I
think an annual visit to Charles is Bar has to be considered as well. Do we
need to review the use of Desert Rose Golf course because of the restroom
issue there or was that "our" own fault? Is Goodtimes big enough for the
mixer or should we go more mainstream? Do we really need those badges? And
is collection of so much cash a good thing? Seemed like the show organizers
would have been great targets!

These comments aside I enjoyed the week as much if not more than last year.
I will be interested to see what the final numbers come out too in terms of
drops and total attendees. Seems like there was a high drop rate on some
activities.

Hugs and thanks to all concerned
