Jane, I have been looking forward to when "the famous ball gown wearer"
would reply. I'm glad you did.

For the record, I have yet to reply throughout this little firestorm, so
to speak. I may be so bold as to say a couple things that may or may not
be in line with DLV central. If I say anything that runs contrary to the
"rules", please feel free to let me know.

First of all, I was a big supporter of keeping the final event at Bahama
Breeze and I would endorse the venue 1000% for next year as well. Why?
It's a perfect room with good food, better drink and outstanding
service. The room has charm, even without all of us gracing it's
presence, and I can't think of a more suitable place for all of us to be
able to show off our finest.

That is, within the bounds of taste, of course. The room is probably
best described as semi-private, attached to a family restaurant where
the muggles abound. Yes, we must keep it tasteful. But what's
distasteful about a formal gown? Even a ball gown? Absolutely
nothing.

Jane, did your choice of what to wear impact my enjoyment of the event?
Not in the least bit. Heck, I remember what you were wearing over and
above what nearly everyone else in the room was wearing, aside from
those at my table. For that, congratulations, you achieved every woman's
dream. All kidding aside, for the event, you made a heck of a splash.
Now if I were personally inclined to wear such a gown to the final
event, would I have done so at some of the other venues? Probably not. I
do believe we must consider time, place and of course weather in making
such choices. But for BB, for the reasons I stated above, you made quite
a statement and for that, congratulations!!!

Sara
