Thanks for the heads-up, but I booked my air about a month ago
when there were all kinds of reports of air fare going waaaay
up Real Soon Now. I'm paying a bit more than $51 each way, but
not much, on Southwest, where I can still check bags and I don't
have to play big-plane/little-plane roulette as is the case on
American.
I take it you've already checked with Southwest. Their fares
are not as low as they used to be, I know.
Does Frontier fly out of Austin? If so, you might check with
them. They have been offering some very good fares out of OMA
lately, plus they have been flying only the "real planes" out
of here for the past several months.
