>Can you suggest downtown hotels that

We have a number of people staying at the Red Roof Inn at Ontario and
St. Clair. Primary reason is because it's one of the lowest priced
decent places in the area.
We also have people staying at the Hilton Gardens at Grand and State.
It's nicer than the RRI, but about twice the price.
In that general area I've stayed at the Best Western River North at
LaSalle and Ohio, which is 1/2 step up from the RRI, IMAO, that is. The
big thing about the BW River North is that parking is included, which is
the exception and not the rule for downtown Chicago hotels. If your
hotel does not include parking and you need it, it will cost you at
least $20 per day.
I've stayed multiple times at the Holiday Inn City Centre at Fairbanks
and Ohio, which is much nicer than the RRI, but twice the price. One
complaint I have there is slow elevator service at check-out time. :(
I've also stayed at the Hyatt Regency over on Wacker. It's a very nice
place, but too much when I have to pay for it myself. :)
If you want to save some bucks, the places out in the burbs are much
cheaper. If you have a vehicle it may be an option. Personally, I like
paying a bit extra and staying in town.
>Please advise what else I need to sign up?
We've got you on the registration list. A few things that would be
helpful are:
1. When will you be arriving and when will you be departing?
2. Will your SO be attending with you?
3. Will you be needing a ride to activities, or will you have a vehicle
and can you give others a ride?
Anything else, please let us know. :)
