The floors at Ed's can be very slippery, even when dry. Be careful.

Ann Sather's 2 years ago was outstanding. I consider that place much
more of a must-do than Ed's.

One nice thing, for those who do want to make a side trip to Baton, is
that it's just a block or two over from Gentry on State, so you can try
to get tickets for the late Friday show as soon as you hit the area
after Friday dinner. If they're sold out, you can make an advance
reservation for Saturday. No guarantees, but I've used this system on
other PF and non-PF trips.

Another trick that has worked for me, when I've arrived very well
dressed and solo near the end of one show, is to ask the doorman if I
can buy a ticket now and go sit at the bar and then wait at the bar
through the break. The, after the next show is seated and starting, I
just shift to an open seat/table if it's not crowded. Of course, I was
younger and thinner then. :-)
