Take your choice. Whichever has a cheaper or more convenient flight.
Since you're most likely flying from Phoenix, Southwest has several
nonstops daily into Midway. It's a quick train ride into the loop.

O'Hare is a bit longer train ride, but it's cheap and convenient.

> 2. Is there a list of preferred hotels ?

Not really. We've had people stay at Palmer House, Hilton Gardens,
BW River North, Red Roof Inn, Rodeway Inn, a few others downtown,
and a few out in the burbs, which tend to be less expensive.

The bad news on hotels is that the tend to be far more expensive than
in Las Vegas.

Well, I guess that makes you the Room Share Coordinator, huh? :)

> 4. Is there a ride /rider coordination like DLV ?

Not really. I've found I personally don't need a car in Chicago, so I'll
most likely fly. Parking can be a pain in the @$$ in downtown Chicago.

For downtown Chicago, free parking for guests is the exception and not
the rule. For most hotels, you can expect to spend $20-ish per day extra
for parking.

> 5. Are most of the events within a reasonable walking dist ?

Many activities are indeed within walking distance of some of the hotels
I mentioned above. Subway/el is easy for some of the others. The only
one where it's a pain is a long train ride followed by a long taxi ride.
That's Hunters, out in Elk Grove Village.

> 6. Please send me last year's schedule if possible

Let me go back thru the archives and I'll post some of the previous
years schedules.

There you go, Elena. :)
