Welcome everybody. We've picked up quite a few new people who are
interested in Pinkfest from last month's DLV.
Just so everybody is on the same page, if you're expecting another DLV
with Pinkfest you may be surprised. Although both are "vacation not
convention" events, and you will see some of the same faces at both,
that's about where the similarity ends.
Pinkfest has always been smaller, more informal, and less structured
than DLV.
Oh, one other similarity is that they are both a lot of fun! :)

As of this time no plans have been made for Pinkfest. It's a blank slate
ready to be written.
Our first order of business is to select the dates. Traditionally it's
been a weekend in October or November. We've had one request that it not
be the second or third weekend of a month, since that locks out one
person who wants to attend (and who has a record of actually showing up
at other events).
Therefore I would like to place the fourth weekend in October up for
discussion as a possibility for Pinkfest 2003. If this does not work for
somebody, or if you just don't like it, please select an alternative.
Note that although this is the fourth weekend in October, it is the
weekend of the 24-25-26 and not the Halloween weekend.
