Thanks for the feedback on this. :)
We don't really have a dress code per se, but some of our planned things
are quite mainstream, and overdressing will definitely cause a lot of
unwanted attention.
For the daytime activities (shopping, touristy stuff), casual is indeed
what is usual and customary, and yes, you will attract far less negative
attention if you dress to blend in.
For the evening activities you'll probably see people wearing just about
anything from very casual to very dressy, and for such places as Baton,
the bars on Halsted, and even Ed's, just about anything from one extreme
to the other is appropriate. If you prefer casual, you can do that, but
you can also put on the dog if you choose to wear one. :)
