Vote results:

Ladies (gentlemen), for one of the very few times in our history,
we're going to "call" the vote early.

Why?

Because at this time we've reached the point where if every
outstanding vote would be opposed, the measure would still
carry. Here are the numbers ...

Following two very unfortunate events in the past year and one
request for removal, we now hae 36 individuals of voting status.
19 votes, therefore, constitutes an absolute majority. The measure
would still carry even if every outstanding vote were in favor of
retaining the legacy single-leader model.

We've had one abstention, giving the total for which a majority
is calculated as 35. 18 votes in favor therefore constitutes a
majority of 51.43 percent of those votes which could be counted.

Results are as follows:

Adopt the team model: 18

Retain the individual model: 1

Abstain: 1

Thanks to all who participated in the discussion and those who
volunteered to be part of the Big Sister Program.

Unless something of earthshaking magnitude should arise, this will
be the last ORG mailing of 2012. Merry Christmas, Happy (belated)
Hanukkah, and Happy New Year. Thanks for everyone's participation
and support in 2012! :) Any further comments will be sent either to
the Big Sister Team or held for the next ORG mailing.

Moving forward:

The tribe has spoken. :)

We'll do what we can here to get things jump-started. We'll get
things set up and then turn the group loose to get organized and
do their thing.

We've set up a mailing list to facilitate communication between
the Big Sister Team members. Those whose names appear below can
expect to receive a test message shortly. If anyone is on this
list and does not receive a brief test message within the next
few days or so, please scream loudly. :)

We (JoAnn and Annie) do need to be in the loop, but we promise not
to meddle unless we see something that has the potential to impact
the DLV program as a whole.
