Monday hotel discussion:
First-person, no quoting.
Nora writes:
Last night (Saturday) we again met with the GM of the St Tropez.
From the gist of our meeting there is no indication of any bias
towards our community. He has only been with the property a short
time and has inherited numerous problems. He reiterated that the
previous manager had made promises and apparent plans that could
not be met.

Hi Nora,
Thank you for more information on the situation.
We are still guessing here or making assumptions on intention or
reasons or feelings of the new GM We don't know what is going on
within that business.
I can understand and appreciate the 'feel' you have about this
situation, and how the new GM is working with the local Triess
group meetings.
It can still be a fine or nice hotel to use.
Not honoring a former GM agreement, and more so, not freely or willing
to discuss this matter or even communicating the reasoning why the
former GM price cannot be honored is what is bringing up the question
about the honesty of this Hotel and GM, or doing any business with them.
All we know is that it has broken an agreement with us.
Can they still be trusted and relied upon as a business?
Its not our problem that they changed the GM, but it becomes our problem
when they don't keep our arrangements as a business.
What is going to stop or prevent them from doing it to us again?
I would not be happy if I book my stay for this Hotel, only to find out
a week before DLV, or the day I arrive that I have no room because there
was no agreement; or when I get the bill after the stay, that the rate
had increased because the agreement I booked under is not honored; all
because the GM has changed or some other management people, issues, or
policies have change.
