Motion to reconsider:
We have multiple seconds on the motion to reconsider the dates
for DLV 2009.
The floor is now open for discussion and debate on the motion.
The currently proposed dates, now up for reconsideration, are
Monday, May 11 thru Saturday, May 16, 2009.
I apologize in advance for being a real stickler for procedure
on this, but I want to be sure that we are being consistent and
fair to all. I don't want to change any rules in the middle of
the game, or in the middle of a play. There's a good chance
that, no matter what the outcome, somebody will not be happy,
and I don't want anybody to call "foul" over technicalities.
To clarify: The motion, as accepted by the floor, is to
reconsider the dates for DLV 2009. Although a nonspecific
span in "late April" has been mentioned, this motion, should
it carry, will not set those dates. It will simply invalidate
our currently proposed dates and open the floor for the date
selection process.
Should the motion carry, those in favor of a late April
timespan are free to introduce an explicit timespan into
consideration.
The floor is now open for discussion and debate. Although the
motion itself is only to invalidate the current dates,
discussion on specific date spans is appropriate.
The floor will remain open until no further significant
discussion has come in for 48 hours.
To keep things moving along, and to avoid cluttering up the
inboxes, we'll go to a "daily at most" digest until this
motion carries or fails.
