Here's the story, and again, I apologize if I mis-guessed the date
that discussions should have ended or if I exceeded my authority in
setting that date without consulting the group here.
The date of November 30 has been announced to the general DLV list as
the date up to which the floor is open for comments on the dates.
Since I am going to be the one looking like a jerk and taking the crap,
should somebody gripe about a rescinded cutoff date, I'm going to stick
to my guns on this.
Likewise, I'm also intending to be as adamant should somebody come up
with an 11th. hour request to delay more, consider other dates, etc.
If you wish to enter a motion, I can't stop it. I have to play by the
rules we've all agreed to, but it probably could only move that date
up by 1-2 days at most. It's Monday now, and the time it would take
for motion-second-discussion-vote would take almost as much time
as we have left in the announced discussion period.
Realistically, I can't see anybody's hotel rate skyrocketing or
anybody's flight selling out by next week.
