I would like to see a more diverse option given actual consideration. I
nominate
May 15 - 21 (Monday thru Sunday)
Advantages:
1). Avoids Mother's Day restriction, yet is directly adjacent, for those
who want to come early and avoid their mother. (Seriously, in the
past, some DLV people actually preferred this opportunity due to poor
family relationships.)
2). Directly adjacent to Las Vegas Gay Pride weekend (May 12 - 14), so
early attendees can take advantage of their planned activities and
entertainment, without DLVORG needing to pre-plan additional days.
These events are definitely t* inclusive.
3). By waiting until May for DLV, it gives our people longer to react to
the changed dates to reschedule vacations and travel.
4). A later date gives more time to publicize the changes to outside
groups (e.g., IFGE) that list DLV in their calendars and publications.
