Just a comment, not a nomination. In the past, we have sometimes
discussed finding a way to schedule DLV either before or after the LV
Gay Pride days, in order to give the opportuinity for a longer holiday
and to take advantage of the special events and entertainment that they
set up.
This year, per http://www.lasvegaspride.org/nonflash/index.htm, LV Gay
Pride 2006 is May 12 - 14 (yes, that is Mother's Day weekend). So, if
DLV was the 15th through 21st, it would officially avoid Mother's Day
while giving something to do for those who want to arrive early.
