When is the Las Vegas Monsoon Season? I'd rather we not plan it for the
middle of the downpours.
N+I is abbreviation for the former name of a computer industry trade show
known now as "Interop". The former name was Networking
World/Interoperability Exposition. It's a premier show for data
communications technologies, and the usual place for new product
announcments (such as Gigabit Ethernet, and 10-Gigabit Ethernet have been
new technology announcements in the past). The interoperability aspect is
because there is a strong push to have the various vendor's product work
together (inter-operate) as opposed to the pursuit of private proprietary
technologies that can only be used in environments with equipment from one
sole vendor.
I attend N+I. I also live in Las Vegas and do not require these two events
to be back-to-back.
