Wow, that was almost too much for words! I don't really know what to
say here, except I want to thank each and every one of you for making
DLV99 as great as it was.
Out of everybody there, all 30-some, I cannot think of a single person
whose company I did not enjoy. I was very impressed with the turnout,
the enthusiasm, the congeniality, and the attitude everybody showed to
themselves and to the group. I feel very fortunate to have all of you
as friends, and to have shared the experience of a very special
weekend.
I was especially impressed with the degree everybody simply blended
into the crowd in Las Vegas. On a number of occasions when I tried to
catch some candid shots in such places as NYNY, the malls, etc., I had
trouble finding our people, even though they were in plain sight. :)
As before, I heard absolutely no reports of such things as ridicule,
harassment, refused service, etc. I think this is a direct reflection
on how everybody presented themselves in their preferred role.
(In case I sound somewhat disorganized or disoriented here, I am still
very tired, and have yet to catch up on some badly needed sleep.)
We have a number of followup and housekeeping issues, and I'll try to
cover those over the next few days.
I hope everybody had a safe and enjoyable trip back, and that everyone
will cherish the memories of the past week.
